Certified Birth Certificate Translation in Manitoba
A birth certificate is the document most often asked for in an immigration file, and the one most often sent back for a small reason. Send a photo of the whole certificate, we return a certified English translation with every stamp and seal accounted for.
What it costs
A birth certificate is normally one document, one page. If yours has an extract or an apostille attached, those are counted as their own pages.

ATIM certified translation
- Seal, signature and number of a certified member of the association
- Asked for by MPNP, Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba, CPSM, CPA Manitoba, NDEB and PEBC

Why birth certificate translations come back
Four reasons account for most of the rework we see.
- A partial translationSeals, stamps and registry numbers count. If it is printed on the certificate, it belongs in the translation.
- Two spellings of the same nameThe passport spelling has to match everything else in the package. Send the passport page with the certificate.
- A translation done by a relativeIRCC does not accept translations by the applicant or family members. The certification has to come from the translator.
- A cropped photoCut edges hide registry numbers and seals. Shoot the whole document, including margins.
Questions we get
Does IRCC accept your translation?
Documents that are not in English or French have to be submitted with a complete translation and a translator's declaration. Our regular certified translation is prepared for exactly that.
How much does it cost?
$59 for a one-page certificate before tax. Two pages are $99 and each page after that is $30.
How long does it take?
Most regular certified translations are ready within 1-2 business days.
Do I need association certification?
Normally no. It is for bodies that ask for it by name, and it costs more.
Can I send a photo instead of a scan?
Yes, if the whole certificate is in frame, straight and readable.
What if my name is spelled differently on my passport?
Send the passport page with the certificate. We transliterate to match the identity document you use in Canada and note the original spelling.
Send your documents and get a price
Upload the certificate and anything else in the same application. One quote for the set, confirmed before payment.
