We pick the translator by subject, not by availability

Technical translation demands precision, accuracy and deep subject matter knowledge. Every project goes to a translator with the academic or professional background your documents assume.

Engineering & manufacturing

User and maintenance manuals, safety instructions, assembly drawings and technical specifications for production floors and field crews.

IT & software

Software documentation, user interfaces, release notes and help guides, with strings kept intact and placeholders untouched.

Medical & pharmaceutical

Instructions for Use, clinical trial documents, labelling and medical device manuals, handled with the wording regulators expect.

Science & research

Patents, claims and specifications, scientific articles and research papers where one wrong term changes the meaning of the whole claim.

Terminology

One term, one translation, every page

Before the first page is translated we build a glossary from your documents and your existing materials. Translation memory then holds that wording in place across the whole set, and across the next revision you send us.

Accuracy

Three passes before anything reaches you

Subject matter experts

Your project goes to a translator who works in your field and has read documents like yours before, not to whoever is free that afternoon.

Terminology management

Translation memory and project glossaries keep terms, units and product names consistent through the document and through later updates.

Multi-step review

A second specialist edits and proofreads the text, checking figures, cross-references and tables against the original before delivery.

In Manitoba

Who sends us technical documents

Manitoba work usually comes from manufacturers, engineering and IT companies, research institutions and colleges: operating and maintenance manuals, safety instructions, technical specifications, software documentation and patents, most often for teams in Winnipeg, Brandon and across Manitoba.

Files can be sent through the order form at any hour, or brought to our Winnipeg office. If a document also has to be certified for a Manitoba institution, regular certified translation starts at $59 and is ready in 1–2 business days, while ATIM-certified translation starts at $99 and takes 2–4 business days. Prices do not include 5% tax.

Questions

Before you send the manual

How much does technical translation cost?
Technical translation is quoted per source word, from $0.10 to $0.20 depending on complexity, format and volume, with a minimum fee of $99 per order. Rush work carries no surcharge. See our pricing page for personal documents.
Can you keep my file format and layout?
Yes. Manuals, specifications and guides come back in the original layout, with tables, numbering, captions and figure references in place. For complex files we can also prepare the final layout as a desktop publishing job.
How do you keep terminology consistent across a long manual?
We build a glossary from your documents and existing materials before translation starts, then hold it in translation memory. The same wording is reused through the whole set and through the revisions you send later.
Does a technical translation need to be certified?
Usually not. Certification matters when an institution, a registry or a partner asks for it. If yours does, tell us and we will prepare a certified or ATIM-certified version: from $59 in 1–2 business days, or from $99 in 2–4 business days.
Can you handle a large set on a deadline?
Yes. For large sets we assemble a team working from one shared glossary so terminology stays identical across the documents, and we agree the delivery schedule with you in advance.

Send the document, get the number

Upload the file and tell us the target language and the deadline. We reply with a per-word quote, the delivery date and the certification option that fits.
