For outside Canada

Read carefully please

Translation Agency of Manitoba provides certified, notarized and authenticated translations of legal documents to be used outside Canada. Usually the types of documents used outside of Canada are translated for marriage, permanent residency, education, pension applications, business purposes, immigration (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, USCIS).

Mexican, Cuban, Russian, Spanish and some other consulates specifically require translations to be notarized ($40/doc. extra) and sometimes authenticated by mail in Ottawa. Italy and Ecuador require ATIO-certification (from $89). Other consulates are mostly satisfied with regular certified translations (from $59).

First

Prepare all documents in a timely fashion. Keep in mind that the translation preparation for foreign authorities can take weeks, and if declined for any reason it will take time to re-do.

Second

Be sure to find out the type of certification required by the foreign organization. Is notarization required? How about authentication or legalization? These all require different types of stamps and signatures. Failing to research the type of certification needed may result in rejection of the translation.

Third

Let us know the exact translation requirements that need to be met.

Fourth

Be ready to pay extra for the service. Most of the time our regular fees will not be applicable for translations to be used abroad.

We would love to help you to get your documents properly prepared. Beware, mail or in person.

You may place an online order by simply filling out the Free quote form or by emailing us the document to be translated.
